Budget by Mail — Terms of Service
By installing or using Budget by Mail ("the app"), you agree to these terms. The app is currently offered in early access, by invitation, at no charge.
What the app does
The app reads transaction-notification emails you route to its Gmail label, categorizes them with AI, and writes the results into a Google Sheet you own. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Your responsibilities
- You're responsible for the Google account, spreadsheet, and email data you connect.
- You'll use the app only for your own personal budgeting, and won't abuse the shared AI service (which is rate-limited and provided as a courtesy).
- Access is invitation-only; don't share your access in ways that circumvent that.
Accuracy & no financial advice
AI categorization can be wrong or incomplete. The app is a convenience tool, not a source of truth — always verify against your bank statements. Nothing the app produces is financial, tax, or accounting advice.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including inaccurate categorization, missed transactions, or data loss.
Availability & changes
The app may change, be limited, or be discontinued at any time, and the shared AI service may be rate-limited or withdrawn. We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
